It’s early January, so a little reflection on the past year is still fair game, right?

2024 was an exciting year for me, both personally and professionally. Moving to a new city can be challenging, but my kids made the transition seem effortless over the past 18 months. I took a page from their book and embraced the change with an open mind—kids are great at rolling with life, aren’t they?

When I wasn’t working with clients, I focused on making our own home more us—turning a blank white box into something layered with color, character, and charm. You’ve heard me say it before, but adding vintage, antique, and thrifted pieces is truly one of the best ways to bring personality into a space. I love using them in accessories and accents—mirrors, art, vases, curated objects, even furniture like side tables. Pairing a sleek, modern Blu Dot sofa with a vintage side table? Instant character and contrast.

Another highlight of 2024 was participating in not one, but two showhouses! I loved the creative energy, the buzz of nerves, and the opportunity to meet so many inspiring designers. Beyond expanding my network, these projects helped grow my brand, offered a rare “no rules” creative challenge, and brought some exciting press (thank you, AD!, and House Beautiful!).

As I look forward to 2025, I’m thrilled to continue working with amazing clients—some tackling entire home renovations—and to take on new projects. I’m also making time to work on our home; I’ve finally picked a color for our primary bedroom, inspired by a stunning piece of wall art from my talented friend, Taryn Urushido.
